Subject: Re: 2012 Corn Harvest

Southern IL Randolph County
We have had anywhere from 8 tenths to over 1.5 inches in a surprise rain event which brewed up at around 4:00 pm here in the southern part of Randolph county. It came with wind and marble size hail but we will certainly take it. To add insult we have alot of blown over and snapped off stalks on this very stressed corn, but there is no ears anyway. This rain probably added some bushels to the low areas of the fields an better soil areas, so it will throw a wrench in a total insurance 0. The beans look better already and at least we have so storm chances the rest of the week with added humidity. Very thankful right now, a little hope again for a few days anyway.
