Murfreesboro, Tennessee
I was thru N Alabama about 3-4 weeks ago and thought the crops looked excellent (especially after looking at mine).

After all the dry weather you guys have had down there the last several years, it was definitely your "turn" to have a bumper crop. Sorry that things have changed for you guys so fast.

I was really feeling sorry for myself, but reading on this site about the troubles others are having also makes me understand that Im not the only one in this shape.

I posted something on here a few weeks back and there were some good responses. Cannot remember who said it, but bascially we are going to take this negative and turn it into a postive. Since we will definitely not be busy this fall with harvest, we are going to use all that extra time in doing stuff we normally dont have time to do (clean up fence rows, deep rip some fields, plant cover crops, etc.). Not only will it put us in better shape for next year, but will at least take our mind off this lousy crop year.
