| You haven't lost money on forward contracted grain. You took advantage of opportunities. It just so happened that better opportunities came along later. It's rather foolish to expect to hit the market highs on much of your crop. First, we don't know where the high is, so any sale is likely to be less than the possible. If I sell $10.30 beans today, I will not complain if they go up a buck. I'll rejoice and sell some more. Although I will complain about my stupidity if I end up taking $9 or less for the remainder. | |
