I enjoy looking up a little family history every once in awhile and census information is very handy....I'll fill it out.
Me too.........census info is priceless when you're researching family history. But when did they start asking all the financial and socio-economic questions? 1940 Federal Census just became available, and it has pretty much the same type of info as the previous ones back to about 1860 ......family members' names, ages, occupation, places of birth, parents' place of birth. Now it seems the gov't wants everything but your bathroom habits. And that may be coming next time around with all the emphasis on health care/food laws/obesity/etc recently. |
