NE Iowa
Seeing shot holed non gmo corn in NE Iowa. Pulled lots of plants and couldn't find very many bores though, mayne the heat fried em already. Going to look again in the morning when it's somehwat cooler. Maybe they'll be there, maybe not..... Sprayed some 4-5 foot tall corn wiht my Rogator last year for borers and we are all contoured and terraced and I cringed when I was driving through it, but in the end I didn't think my job on 5 feet tall corn looked anyoworse than a crappy job of co-op spraying at V6 corn. Plodded along at 5-6mph, and ran 20gpa with twin jet tips and I'd say I got a 66% kill. Neighbor had the plane spray and at 15-20 feet about the canopy in our terrain, I really don't know how much good 2gpa will do on getting a corn borer that's way down in the whorl. My $.02
