This is what I was told from local dealer. 500gpm no more than 1/2 mile run set on 60's would be plenty for an 80 depending on rainfall. About an acre/ft applied for the crop. Drip more advantageous than a pivot with rain as it will soak in rather than runoff under pivot plus you can chemigate near rootzone....
