North Cental OK
When reading these posts I am curious as to what some mean by no-till. Is it the first year of no-till (conventional till last year) or continuous no-till (for several years/rotations). Also the conventional that looks better on the same farm vs notill was it "notill" last year and mineralized nutrients that were stored in the residue when it was worked? I am just curious and agree with Jim that to compare fairly all the cards need to be laid on the table.

As for here the continuous notill looks the best but it also depends on the previous rotations.

As a disclaimer I am a notill proponent but I do not farm. I also understand that it is nit for everyone or everywhere I am one of those that sells crop inputs but always try to recommend as if it was my own farm. I do come from a family farm so I do have that background and it is one of my passions.
