| We have 100 acres and we are on a 5 year program. 80 ac feet average a year and our max is 100. We can not go over the set amount so the 5th year we MAY not be able to irrigate...if we have more years like last year and this. Although, we researched it before we had it installed and we were confident on normal years 80 ac feet would be enough. And the cost....$1500/ac. But if water is limited, that is the only way to go. And maintenance, read my reply to sandfarmer, i kind of explained it. Any more ? just ask! | |
