If you add the two together and are over 26k and you cross state lines, you will need a class A CDL, log book, DOT number, unified carries registration, etc. Each carry about a $200 fine if our friendly Iowa Vehicle Enforcement team catches you. Get pulled over by a baby blue crown vic and you don't have that stuff, just get out your wallet. They love patrolling hwy 20 and 218. I've got a 3/4 ton and a 20k gooseneck to go between Waterloo and Dad's up in Madison and now I really regret buying a trailer with that much capacity. | |
