SE IA | Well here our conventional corn herbicides did squat. Not enough rain to activate a residual in any pre-emerge program, so the grass came in everything. cleanest fields are the roundup ready fields where we could kill the grass. Tried Capreno, Laudis, and Impact, all had failures on grass control. Ran MSO, AMS, 20 GPA and all the "correct" adjuvents and spray nozzels, you just cannot kill 12" grass that is hardened off by the dry weather with anything other than Roundup. The last 4 years these conventional herbicides have worked great....even on grass. This year it is terrible and cannot kill it.
So your solution will sort of help with the whole picture....but still doesn't take care of the grass control in corn when we get pathetic performance out of non gmo herbicides. | |
