Subject: Re: What to do with a plowed field

Rudolph, WI
A years ago we planted .08 beans on June 20 - 22 and harvested 30-33 bushel on a 40 acre field. We planted with a grain drill at a higher population, about 200,000+ / acre. This was on heavier ground west of Stevens Point, WI. Was a little worried about it not getting ripe, but would have chopped it for silage anyway if it wouldn't have. Not sure where you are located, but I would be concerned about soybeans getting full term before frost at this late date, and about getting enough moisture right now to get them to sprout.
