Subject: spray drift - do you call the neighbor???

Rivers, MB
if he drifted a bit onto you but its not enough to need to settle up?

We have a neighbor that drifted a bit of liberty onto some wheat of ours. Very obvious that its Liberty and which field it came from. Few spots it drifted in about 30 feet. We have enough experience with Liberty drift to know this loss would be insignificantly small. We're not upset. This just happens sometimes. We did the same amount of damage to one of our neighbors this spring. I called him to let him know as soon as I saw it. He had not seen it and I told him to get back to me if we needed to settle up and haven't heard back so no news is good news.

Do you let neighbors now that they did an insignificant amount of damage just so they know that the conditions they were spraying in actually caused some damage, albeit insignificant damage.

i had a neighbor call me once to let me know i had damaged a few feet of crop for about 100 yds. He wasn't upset at all, just letting me know that. I appreciated the call because I was more careful the next time.

Any thoughts.
