Have not seen JR's thoughts on '08 corn lately. He seems to agree with Sue Martin, my other girlfriend that the wife don't know about, concerning pricing old crop corn as well as the sell signals on old crop wheat. Late winter/early spring rallies expected on corn for acre positioning, and wheat will likely see it's highs in the next month or so until Dec. planting reports come out.
When they see all the green in the area, wheat will likely head south. If much of Kansas is similar to this part of Oklahoma, most of that "green" is gonna be destroyed and go to a spring crop, or a real trainwreck of a harvest will occur and insurance companies will be writing big checks again. The volunteer wheat from all the abandonment is coming back strong now. | |
