Subject: RE: MN crop loss

McLeod County, MN
Tara,

The last week has been extremely tough on the MN crop. Storm after storm has really started reducing the crop. I am located 50 miles straight west of Minneapolis. In my area, there is a minimum of 10% of the crops gone. Probably closer to 15-20%. All gone from flooding, ponding and washing. You go south of here hail has leveled a lot of crops. S of St. Paul they have had the torrential flooding and hail too. There are some fields that are really starting to show N deficency. All of the replant in our area is dead AGAIN. If Mn doesnt lose 10% of its corn acres I bet it will be damn close. From what I have heard only the far SE portion of the state has been spared from this terrible weather. I'm sure there are some great looking fields out there, but I havent been far enough away to see one.
