| Corn must either go down or beans must go up. I do not think we can have this small of spread between the two again this year. It only worked last year because of the huge bean ending stock surplus. Beans must be at least 3 times corn or things will get real interesting come planting intention report time.
I'm not selling any cash beans until I can get 3 times cash corn. At present prices, the market will not work long term. I am betting on sideways corn and a big run up in beans by March.
Better opportunities will come for new crop shortly before the planting intentions report, at least that is what I keep telling myself. | |
