One thing to consider, is the daylight is longer at that latitude. You probably get 1.5 to 2 hours a day more daylight than we do in Florida at this time of year. Look for varieties with larger ears and shorter stalks. There are literally hundreds of varieties to chose from. A 9 to 12 inch spacing is good. If you have a problem with ear size go wider.
