Subject: Re: Corn Head Options-Strip Till

I run a Geringhoff Rota-Disc, it chops and sizes stalks and leaves nicely, and I never plug my strip-till rig. And chopped up residue with decay faster than whole pieces, so you won't have 2-3 years of residue accumulating. Also, the big COC problem is volunteer corn, so you'll want something that doesn't drop any corn. Maybe a Drago. There have been some posts here that claim Geringhoffs lose corn, but I don't have that experience. I don't have a volunteer corn problem.
