are, that just means we need rain sooner rather than later. We have 500 acres of 106 and 108 day corn that, according to GDD calculators, should be tasseling now. However, it has three more leaves to go. My guess is that the plant is trying to protect itself. Today, I made an offer on setting basis on some more new crop August corn, but I won't do much more until I see how much corn I will actually have.

I did see some 5' corn trying to tassel today. This may be the shortest corn we have ever raised. I have no idea if, or how much, this will impact yield.
