I guess if folks want to pass up + 50-100 over Dec futures to bin the corn and start the basis meter over again.....well, they are welcome to make that tragic error...
We have a lot of August and September corn on the books....the August is old crop and 70% of the September is new crop, primarily for LH September...
yes, I still think these are great basis levels.....sure, they can get better...but you have to pick a spot to eventually sell....and all I know with absolute certainty is that +135Z will eventually turn into 0Z or cheaper sometime this fall....
someday, on a day when the board is down 20, and basis is down another 20....well, you will have a tough decision to make if you haven't sold that old crop corn.....
