We had been allocating trucks in Cedar Rapids for several years, but going from doing 80-100 trucks per day to needing to allocate 375-425 per day is a quantam leap in complexity...
We spent several months doing a a lot of pre-planning and creating a spreadsheet system that made it a lot easier....oh, there is always a learning curve, but we keep working the bugs out.....
it's amazing what taking just a bit of pressure out of the truck line will do to improve unloading times! | |
