Central Iowa | I was too conservative on basis earlier this year like I'm sure others were as well. I think you are right with "caution" being the word of the day. There are lots of questions and very little answers regarding current supplies, new crop yield potential, etc. I am finding it very difficult to market new crop when IMO we could move this market a dollar in either direction depending on weather. It just seems to me that with the large demand base and tighter supply/demand tables we have created volatility will be the name of the game going forward. On a side note Ray I have to say that moving to allocations is the single best thing you guys have done. Hauling corn can actually be enjoyable from time to time now. | |
