Central Iowa | About 50/50 on bushels priced versus unpriced. As far as tommorrow goes Ray WILL want my corn tommorrow, and the day after tommorrow, and the next month. He's a corn buyer, he always wants corn. Last half July bid has been at +$.50. I don't know if that will improve but it's good enough to lock in basis for a large percentage of what I have left. I don't know if Ray will run out of corn before the combines roll and I don't really care because it's not my job to care. He's been in the game a long time and I'm pretty sure he's got things under control. As for yield prospects go I don't think anyone believes we can't have significant yield cuts. You have been preaching trend yield which is an average, and at this stage of the game to assume anything more than that is optimistic. That is certainly not 166 but it for darn sure isn't a crop failure. The yield trend is down as of right now with these weather conditions and in another 4 weeks we will have a really good handle on a realistic yield in this area.
