SW Iowa | what would you do if you came upon such an accident with a person down on the roadway and an NH3 cloud blowing around the scene?
Myself, I would take a deep breath, go out to victim and see if I couldn't drag him out. NH3 doesn't immediately shut down your breathing, unless you start inhaling it trying to breathe it in, then it will. Hold your breath and work in and out of the gaseous cloud. I have breathed a lot of it, just don't panic when you feel your breathing shut down---head for fresh air and fast, your breathing will come back immediately with fresh air. | |
