I bought a kit from NAPA to make my own. I have never tried them on a high pressure application, I really should at some point but they are just rubber cords and a bottle of super glue. A razor blade was supplied to make the cuts. I think a very straight cut is important and then just glue the ends shut. I have one on the brake assy. housing of an old 450 Farmall for about twenty years now. Very low pressure app. but still working.
