The most promising choices: co-firing in a coal-fired power plant; fast pyrolysis to produce biooil and gasification to produce hydrogen and carbon monixide to fuel a co-gen turbine. Iogen claims to be doing a wheat straw to ethanol plant in Idaho. Iogen needs ~1500 dry tons per day for a 50 MGPY plant.
