Droughts are going to occur all the time in different areas and there doesn't have to be a big killer drought unless you use the same thinking as mikey moore - it was that last cow fart that did us in. The big difference between droughts in the past and now is the economic/agronomic impact the drought has. In 2005 we had almost no rain and thought we were headed for sub 100 bpa. We had some poor corn for sure (135bpa), but we also had a field go 190bpa. It's not that were drought proof, it's that it's no longer a complete disaster when it happens.
