Not surprised. I studied Seed Technoogy, then worked in industry for 5 yrs. Came to the conclusion that most seed companies will do dishonest things. There are exceptions, but few. This kind of thing will become more common until we return to some type of certification system.
What are you talking about? There are laws and regulations that police the seed industry just like any other. Most of this stuff looks to me like dishonesty at the dealer/field level. Another reason why it's important to work with someone who is honest and who you trust, not just some johnny come lately. And yes, I sell seed. This was a very challenging spring, mostly for me in getting people the seed size they requested. Most everyone was very understanding when I explained to them if something was not available in their preferred size. Just like anything, whether you're buying seed, cars, tractors, etc some people are honest and some are not. |
