| I've been running the 8330 on a 57' 1830 air drill with tow between 270 bushel tank. Traded to a 8285R but it never arrived in time for this spring so ended up using both as new one came part way through
I was concerned with the HP data too that I read but was soon very happy.
The 8330 burns 14.1 gal/hr diesel under full load according to the performance monitor on the cab.
In some conditions I could make it use all the power it had
When I put the 8285r on the air drill I noticed it had more power right away. Under full load it was using 15.6 gal/ hr and if you engage the PTO it jumps to 16.2 for their power boost.
Using some numbers I was figuring the 8330 engine HP was 265
The 8285r was at 285 HP and then boosted to 300 when their power boost was used.
So I would think the 8330 and the 8270R would probably be the same engine horsepower in what I have experienced.
