NW iowa
A number of years ago we made 22 percent nitrogen out of water and prilled urea. We heated it with nh3. We used a hot mixer and had mild success breaking the product down. If memory serves me right we heated it to 128-130 degrees and needless to say there was quite a lot of free ammonia. When the season was over there was urea left in the bottom of the tank which was it suprise. So it was better than nothing but not great by any means.
