Goodhue County MN | LMAO here!! Guess I'm a great manager after all, even though you told me I'm bassackwards!!! I get 80# on 2X. Don't buy super-duper feeds either. I do my best to put up good feed.....cost the same to make good feed as poor feed. I will admit to a higher cull rate than most, but I have never believed in the "have to have 'X' number of cows", so I don't keep 2 t itters around. My theroy on cows, put out or get out, heifers I will give a second lactation if they struggle the first lactation......
My purchased feed(min/prot/EB100) costs are $1.85/cow/day
