And with half the operators! Never harvested grass seed... don't know exactly how much help you use, i.e. grain carts, trucks, etc... but I hope you are still saving some money and some wear and tear on yourself!
With the MF's, we had an operator in each machine, a truck driver, and me in the field to "direct" and fix problems. It seemed a lot like a circus at times but we got the job done pretty respectably.
This year, I'm keeping my best combine driver for one machine. I plan to run the other. I'm anticipating unloading on the go into trucks much of the time so that will take 2 truck drivers. So we will likely go from a 6 person crew to a 4 person crew.
