whitesville new york | I was just using prices that are normal for my area. A 3 hour drive south would double them numbers. I was using 45$ corn silage (that's what the neighbor is paying at the bunk) 45$ haylAge (my stuff isn't the best) 200$ 2nd cut hay (neighbor is paying 175$ and trucking it 1.5 hours) 100$ 1st cut hay late cut ( it is what I mange to sell it for) 330$ for grain 18% complete mix. I know some of you guys pay more in other areas but these are based on my area. I would figure up my cost On pasture but how do you figure what pasture is worth. Just thought I'd let you guys know I have been pushing pasture fOr a week now feeding 12lbs of grain, 15lbs cornsilage, 15lbs haylAge 5lbs, 2nd cut hay, free choice 1st cut hay and free choice grass. The cows already up 2lbs on milk.
