Faunsdale, AL
Pat,
If your clay is anything like ours, it's the reason you haven't been able to spread yet, AND it's great for makeing dams with!

In our case, it has finally gotten dry enough here to plow and plant, got all the pits emptied before planting corn and now just looking at pumping lagoons when things slow down a bit. I feel like I'm running around like a chicken these days. It's gotten dry enough that we really need a rain to bring up what has been planted over the last couple weeks and to keep the grass growing. It's also gotten to the mid 90's more than a couple days the last week or so. Been great for making hay, plowing and planting, just not for sprouting seed.

Might talk to the custom guys and see if they can move some equipment on over to your place sooner than they were planning. I know, the last thing you really need is to make wet soil wetter by spreading manure on it and compacting it. Still might be able to find a hay field, pasture or someplace you can go.

If all else fails, send some rain our way!
