dairyman, I trust you are talking 3x.

I had this discussion with our ag agent last week........he preaches high quality forage, too. What you have in ne WI many years is the inability to get into the fields in a timely manner for 1st crop due to excess rain. This year, we will be very lucky to get in any of our fields by May 20, and that's without any more rain. The hay will be past it's prime, once again.

I am not on the 200 RFV bandwagon. If you make your hay a little later, 150 RFV, you get more tonnage and don't have to buy extra fiber to tone it down.
