Farmington IL | Heck matt you'll be fine. Good pedigree bull and he should work fine on your heifers. I like the idea of A-I'ing and cleaning up the same. Ought to give a buyer a good feeling about what he's getting. As far as price, I dont get hung up on that so much. Pick the bull you want and go for it. We have bought high priced bulls and I have no regrets. I'd prefer to overpay for the bull that I think will do our cowherd the most good compared to a cheaper bull just to get the cows bred. That being said, I make nick nervous once in awhile when I find a bull I like and another bidder does as well. There is a reason good farm ground and good cattle cost alot, they're worth it. | |
