| One that has been mentioned in other discussions, and one that works. And that is to simply hold spending constant and let the economy grow you out of the problem. We are currently increasing revenue by growing the economy, but we are increasing spending at a greater amount.
After reading a few articles, I really beleive that economic decisions are too decentralized in Washington. Everyone wants as much of the pie as possible, but nobody is looking at the balance sheet and saying "We have X amount of $$ to spend. What's the best way to spend it?" We have too many lawyers and not enough shopkeepers in our Congress, IMHO. | |
