EC NE
The lighter residential series (Z425, etc.) has some advantages over the heavier commercial series.
I've dropped a rear tire into a hole & stuck the machine. Was able to get it out without gettin' a tractor.
Also, they cause less turf damage while turning, etc.
I mow two four-acre yards every ten days or so with a two year old Z425.
It's fine for the application. I think it's a well-engineered machine.
The new Z425 now uses Hydrogear 2800 pump/motors instead of separate pumps & motors like my older one.
You still only get a two year warranty unless you get into the 600 series.
You do get separate pumps & motors with the 600 series.
Was nice to have a new mower with warranty instead of wrenchin' on stuff all the time.
You should be able to get that $ down to $3800 or so. Most dealers will throw in extra blades, floor mat, etc.
You can also get some cool accessories like rear bumper, rear hitch, foot rest extensions, etc.

I bought mine from an Ag. dealer. I wouldn't buy one from a big-box store.
