Lac qui Parle County Minnesota
I first remember Dad unloading ear corn out of Dokken boxes into the old John Deere elevators while fill the cribbing. They had the specialized pitchforks that they had heated and bent the tines to a 90 degree angle to help pull the cobs down. I remember riding in the Studebaker grain truck during oats harvest. Dad would have me move it in the field. He would tell me to drive it straight to the other end and then shut the key off when I got close. Can't imagine doing that with my own kid. Had a neighbor who still filled his barn with the bale forks. Fun to watch as a kid.
