North End I-15
Gathering eggs , hated the job as the old Rooster liked to spur you . Eggs were scattered around the barn yard . Older sisters were the look outs with the "Rooster Stick" .
One day dad and I were cleaning up dead wood in the tree patch, he asked me to go to the shop for a hand saw . On the way back the rooster took after me . I was running hard and fast with rooster about to spur me , I took a wild swing behind me with saw and caught the bugger in the neck . We had tough rooster stew for supper . :-)
