Nusbaum Farms LLC Bellfountain, OR
The first "job" I remember having was standing in a gate to keep cows in while Dad fed round bales with the Oliver 1600. The 1600 was the first tractor I ever drove on my own, pulling a 12' A-C tandem disk...and probably a flex harrow. I think I was about 7. Life was a lot simpler then.

Another good memory comes from when I was a little older, probably 8 or so. Grandpa got me set up raking with the 1600 and told me to watch the gauges. He showed me how to wipe the dust off with my thumb and told me that if he came out to check on me and the gauges were clean, he'd know that I was watching them. Not as easy to tell if they are dusty. All these years later, I find myself almost obsessively wiping dust from gauges on anything I operate. Funny how things imprint in the brain, isn't it?
