I looked up miller moth and see several different species shown. Either they're not being identified correctly or the picture posters are not naming them right. This is what is common for a miller here; worms hatching from eggs in the wheat, the wormies make a mess of webbing and become these small moths:
Around here the term "miller" is just a colloquialism. If a person says, "The millers are thick tonight!" everyone knows he's talking about the annual cutworm moth infestation. |
