Faunsdale, AL
AllisChalmers G tractor with the belly mount bushcutter was my first solo operator's job. (it had a really slow first gear for tall grass/newbie operator, second was for regular cutting and 3rd was going down the road speed), no brakes and no over-running clutch in the mower, so stopping was a looooonnnnngggg drawn out affair unless you were cutting tall enough grass for it to brake the single blade carrier in the mower.........flywheel propulsion!)

When I graduated to bigger things, it was a 435 diesel JD pulling a side delivery rake. Baler guy always seemed to be catching me. It really needed a gear between 4th and 5th. Used to love to watch the cattle egrets going after the crickets, grasshoppers and the occasional mouse.
