I think you are missing the bigger picture. If the Ipad is a better machine, which it is, who cares what the apps cost? Unless you intend to buy hundreds of apps the cost won't amount to a whole lot.
The iPad is FAR from the better machine. I would go with an Android or other system in a heartbeat over the iPad. Android tablets have much better connectivity. If you get one with a USB port you can plug in jump drives and external devices such as a mouse or keyboard just like you would in a computer. Being able to use a jump drive allows you to drag and drop files and vastly increase your storage capacity. The iPad doesn't have USB ports, so you can't do any of that.
The iPad is also more expensive than a comparable tablet of another system. |
