Dad is in the excavating business and has an older Deere 750C and size wise it may seem smaller than a D6 like that but when you compare older machines the hystat Deere to the powershift Cat you will be amazed how much dirt that 750C will move. Ours has a semi U blade. We used to have an old D8H I'm talking like a late 60's, that thing was a pig pushing dirt but side by side you would be amazed how much dirt that little 750C will move in a day. Obviously 30 years difference. We haven't had a Cat dozer though since he sold his D5C when he got his 650J. Haven't ran a newer Cat to give an honest comparison. I would agree though for hogging dirt all the time that SU blade is the way to go.
