nc ia | The wheel will always slip a little. I've started 4 new 1200 planters over the years and the 400 ft calibration is a start. You have to be in new tilled ground each time you run the cal. You will be close but like you, still off. Next step is to plant a known acre field. If your planting short,take known field acres divide by planters acre, which will give 1.+ %. Take that number times cal number. Example: 155a actual, planter says 145. 155 divide by 145 =1.0689 . Planter cal is 58, so 58x1.0689=61.99, new cal. Try to do 2-3 fields like this and it will dial in very close. If you don't have row clutches and just over lap a lot it gets a lot harder to be correct. | |
