Subject: Dickey-John Radar Question & 250 Monitor Calibration?

Does the angle that the radar is mounted affect the operation of the radar? For example will it give you an incorrect speed reading if it's not at a certain angle? The book only shows how to hook it up on a JD tractor by mounting it with the JD bracket the same place the toolbox mounts. Well my tractor is red and has saddle tanks so I had to improvise with the mounting of the radar.

Next has to do with calibrating the 250 monitor. It says to mark off 400 ft. then press the calibration button when you pass the flags marking the 400 ft. It says in the book that the number should be 7836 (I believe that's right). When I did my test run, mine read 6236. If I go in and put that number in my monitor setup it seems to throw off my speed readout. Any help is appreciated.

Todd
