I have an '04 crew cab one ton Ford dually with the v10/auto and have zero complaints. 10-11 mpg when pulling 14 round bales at 55-60. The 454 will be quite a bit lower on the mpg's but I would venture to say the tranny will be more reliable in the chevy.
