No pro here.  I used a Miller 210 Mig.  I used a Dewalt chop saw for cutting the tubes.  And I used a Milwaukee metal saw to cut the 1/4" plate for the hinges.  High speed 3" cutoff air tool to remove the hinges from the old boom.
