The hay from the frozen wheat will likely be higher in protein than you think. The protein is staged in the stalk ready to produce grain and with nowhere to go it will be in the hay. Forgive me if thats not a very good scientific explanation for why, but I just know that two years ago when freeze hit Texas so hard a lot of the hay went 13% protein. It worked better as roughage in a mixed ration than it did feeding it in bales but it has lots of value either way. I would get an adjuster out there ASAP and get the cutters rolling.
