Missouri | I am not into long sermons. No easy crop insurance program for cow/calf. Have a plan, work the plan, adjust as needed. Read/Read/Read lots of options available. Guys around here offer so much risk management designed to each specific operation, tailored to that operation. It is done many times and not even recognized. So many variables, land usage, off farm job, family and personal interests. You come from pretty good dirt for cows. Standard joke is there will be no cows left in the State of Iowa. You must be a transplant. Tuff industry any time, very challenging today. Good Luck | |
